Since Healey Dell closed its doors on 25th March to help prevent the spread of coronavirus, we have watched with anticipation for the government to reduce the restrictions we have been under as part of the national lockdown. Our customers have been patient and understanding during this time, and we cannot thank you enough for that. It was a necessary decision to close our doors, but one we did not take lightly.
Weeks have passed and the infection rate has fluctuated, but as time has gone on it has become more stable and manageable, to the extent that the government has seen it possible to reduce restrictions. As of 4th July 2020, pubs and restaurants will be permitted to open with reduced indoor seating. It is because of this that we have taken efforts to prepare and will now open our doors for sit-in customers, as well as maintaining a service for deliveries and takeaways.
We have taken some time to clean our premises and prepare for these changes, and we are thrilled to be able to open our doors again to welcome you in. However, we will note there will be some restrictions in place, in line with government guidelines:
- We will be required to take the names and contact details of any customer and guest that dines in our premises. These details will be kept in line with government requirements and adhere to the Data Protection requirements set forth under the Data Protection Act 2018.
- We will reduce the number of tables available for sit-in dining to ensure physical distancing measures can be adhered to.
- We will only accept bookings made in advance, either online or by calling our premises.
Our opening times will also change because of this. We will be open from Thursday to Sunday, as well as Bank Holidays (weather and staffing permitting), and we will be open from 10am and will close at 6pm. Because our opening is dependant on staff and conditions, we recommend that you call us on 01706 350 459 or visit our social media pages to see if we are open.
As always, our primary concern is to the safety of our staff and our customers. We may have come through the peak of this outbreak, but we cannot afford to be complacent. We need to do our bit to protect those who are most vulnerable. We need to do our bit to look after our community, and we feel that, at this time, we can reopen to provide you with our high quality afternoon teas, at a time when you will need a welcome break from the chaos the national lockdown will have caused.
We want to thank you again for your support and understanding, and we hope that you will join us as we open our doors once again. We will continue to review the situation and we will post updates here and on our social media channels as and when we make them.
Thank you for your support. Stay indoors. Protect the NHS and the community. Save lives.
